It’s been a beautiful sunny day in October when I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jen and Carl in Genoa and Portofino. Originally they are from London but now live in Singapore. There are so many wonderful places to get married in this world, this part of Liguria is surely one of them. It’s been a thoroughly enjoyable day and it was great fun touring through Genoa, Camogli and Portofino and taking pictures. For me, because of the beautiful pictures and for Jen and Carl, because they could enjoy this day and had so much fun.

The ceremony was held in the fantastic Villa Durazzo and for the wedding reception we moved to Ristorante Rosa in Camogli. On your next visit, I recommend a look at Rosa’s album of memories :)

I had also the pleasure to work with the video makers Matteo and Luca of ADV Wedding.

My centre of life is Diano Marina, in the province of Liguria. But my work let me go in many othe parts of Italy. That´s why I spend a lot of time in Cinque terre, Toscany, in Trentino, in Calabria in the Valley of Aosta, and in Venice. Travelling and meet new people is one of the most beautiful aspect of this kind of job. But sometimes there´s a wedding right around the corner. So the wedding of Valentina and Maurizio. The celebration of them took place immediately after the Apennine *, in the beautiful Piedmont, specifically in the province of Cuneo. It is located near Alba, Barbaresco, Neive, Neviglie and Trezzo Tinella. A zone that is known all over the world for their superior wines. The wedding itself was really nice. Less pretentious than many other Italian festivals, but it was distinguished by a very relaxed atmosphere and also incredibly funny. So just as the newlyweds had hoped. The ceremony took place in Pollenzo, in a restaurant called “La del Ciau Tornavento” (www.laciaudeltornavento.it). The restaurant boasts a wine cellar, where everyone who even slightly familiar with wines could get into rapture :).

The famous American site Junebug Weddings every year, vote for the 50 best photos of the year worldwide and this year I participated for the first time, although, frankly, I’m not even allowed to dream of the square with a picture, since we are talking of the bestphotographers ever in the world, colleagues from years of creating beautiful photographs and amazing.

In fact, very nearly arrived in the first 50 but I received a citation of honor even with TWO photos. It ’still a great satisfaction … Obviously for the next year the citation of honor no longer enough for me;)

The second photo is one of my absolute favorite, was taken to Trent in a beautiful marriage of Kate and Manuel everyone where we had a casino, this photo is just one of many beautiful.

Today is the last day of the year. Time to make a short summary of the last 12 months and a preview of the new year …

2011 was a year full of work, important experiences, new friendships and great satisfaction for me. I did a lot of beautiful weddings and I’m really happy with the photos that came out.

I also hope the same for 2012. I can not wait to start, I have many new projects and ideas, even if in the end I just want to make beautiful pictures…

I am fortunate to follow people in the most important day of their lives and so it seems only fair to give the maximum (even more) to make that special day and give emotions and memories for their entire lives. Aside from that I want to create special pictures, unique, modern, fresh, spontaneous, unexpected, artistic, for contests, for canvas and for their facebook profile ;)

I have beautiful memories of the wedding of Pim and Anne Marie, a Dutch couple who got married in the beautiful Italy, under the sun of the Tuscany, with all their relatives and friends. It was a lovely party, perfectly organized by the wedding planner team of “Con Amore – Weddings in Tuscany”.

The ceremony was held in the monastery of San Francesco in Colle Val d’Elsa (very emotional and in English), for the reception and the wedding party we moved to Agriturismo Le Fonti di San Giorgio in Montespertoli, near Florence.

As you can see, it was a very beautiful and funny day, we had so much fun all together and I cannot wait to photograph the next wedding in Tuscany :)

Once again it has been a wonderful evening at the Hotel Intercontinental in Berlin, there were plenty of very good food, it was danced am in the morning and of course there was a lot of good music.

Besides the Federal President Wulff and his wife there have been seven federal ministers and many other famous personalities among the 2,500 guests. The Ball is considered the ”most important social event of the year” in Germany.

The great rock and roll band “The Baseballs“ has occurred and of course at midnight, the highlight of the evening: a concert by Nena and her band (known for “99 Luftballons“.)

As I sit here in the bar at the port of Diano Marina, I think about what I could write about the engagement shooting and the wedding of Christian and Francesca.

It all started when the two have contacted me earlier this year to photograph their wedding. We have met, it was a very pleasant meeting and they booked my “all-inclusive” collection with e-session and entire wedding coverage.

A few weeks before the wedding, we met at the port of Alassio to spend an afternoon making pictures of them and her sweet daughter, Aurora. We had a lot of fun and shot some fantastic photos.

A short time later we met again and it’s been at all a fantastic wedding celebration, it was an extremely hot day and the pool of the villa was very inviting …

The ceremony was held in the Beata Vergine del Carmine di Cà Emo Church in Albenga and for the reception we moved to the Villa Ca’ di Berta in the hills of Albenga. That the dinner would be great was soon clear, as there were the staff of Diana Catering, as always they worked very professionally and cooked excellent.

In the evening we moved to the beach in Albenga, unfortunately it was a little bit too windy, otherwise the party would have taken place directly on the roof terrace.

It was a very successful day with a lot of fun and good humor, and, in my opinion, terrific photos :)

Actually I was hoping earlier to get into the “quiet” phase of the year, but my new website, a few small trips and the Federal Press Ball in Berlin is the reason why only now I find enough time to post my recent weddings.

I’m quit often in Calabria to shoot weddings and every time I get a request from Calabria, I can assume that it will be a wonderful wedding day.

In September, it’s been the first time I have visited the Sila National Park and I must admit, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in Italy. It was so unreal, seemed more like Canada and elsewhere from, but not like Italy. Beautiful lakes, forests and fresh air.

It was a simple but very beautiful and romantic ceremony. As to see in the photos, the church was a simple wooden house with a yellow cross - no more. I personally love these “non traditional” ceremonies because you have more possibilites from a photographic point of view.

For the reception, Teresa and Luca have chosen a very nice location next to the ceremony place: La Tavernetta Camigliatello Silano.

I want my pictures to make you and your friends and families laugh and cry. I shoot weddings in Cinque Terre and Tuscany and also travel many weekends photographing destination weddings and weddings in other cities and countries like Venice, Florence, Amalfi Coast, Switzerland and Monte Carlo.

I am a member of various international wedding photography associations as ISPWP, WPJA, AG|WPJA, Junebug Weddings’, ANFM, Tau Visual and this year Junebug Weddings’ included my name in their “World’s Best Wedding Photographers Hotlist” as one of the best wedding photographers in the world.
